LEGO 10252 Volkswagen Beetle - the newest expert set for LEGO Creator

Beetlemania!
This set is a huge upgrade from LEGO’s last Volkswagen Beetle, and one that reviewers say cannot be missed. They put it down to the accurate and stylish detailing, the interactive detailing and – most notable – the inclusion of 26 new pieces.
Designers say the challenge was in the curves, something the last Beetle set (10187-1) lacks. To achieve those iconic curved mudguards, LEGO designers made a new element, a 5x5 beaux piece that allows one single curve to encompass the tyre. But that’s not all; this Beetle set also features a new printed piece with the Volkswagen logo, as well as a rounded transparent piece to make the tail lights extra sleek.
Pop the trunk , we’ve got a flat
When the road to the surf gets a little too bumpy, pull over and pop the trunk to retrieve a spare tyre. It’s always better to be safe than sorry!
Ready for a day at the beach
The roof rack carries all you need for a fun day at the beach, California style. There’s a red cooler fully stocked with ice and drinks, and even a surfboard so you can get out there and catch some waves. Gnarly.
Come inside, the water’s fine
Doors can be opened, but if you really want a good look inside, the roof is removable. There are amazing details, such as the dashboard, a steering wheel, handbrake, gear stick and seats that tip forward to let passengers get to the back seat. But that’s not all. There’s also a secret compartment - just tip the back seats forward to reveal a cargo space, perfect to fit the included towel.
The rear view
The back window features details such as surf stickers, to really bring that California surfer vibe to the LEGO Beetle.
Under the hood
Open up the rear hatch to see the classic Beetle power source – a little 50hp four cylinder air-cooled engine.
Moving out
California plates are provided to go with the surfer theme, but if you want to change the plates there are three extra plates included - UK, Germany and Australia.
Now that you’ve seen it all, time to go for a road trip along the Californian coast. This set will be both a valuable collectors item and a rewarding challenge to build.
