Catch the Winter Holiday Train

THE WINTER HOLIDAY TRAIN IS READY FOR DEPARTURE!

LEGO has just announced an exciting addition to their Winter Village set, coming later this year. It’s been nine years since the release of the last Holiday Train, and it has since become a very sought after collector’s item. We believe this new release will also get the collector community humming.
One of the most exciting things about this set is that it’s compatible with LEGO Power Functions, which will motorize the engine along the full circle track. Five figures are also included for festive fun – two excited children, a Grandma, a conductor and an engineer.
Sit back and relax
The two excited children hang out in the passenger cabin, located at the back of the train. Remove the cabin roof to see them sipping hot chocolate while watching the winter wonderland sights. The conductor will check their tickets and make sure they’ve settled in and are having a good time.
Don’t forget the presents
The Winter Holiday Train makes it possible for presents to travel to the Winter Village along with the people. This set includes a wide number of toys – a remote controlled robot, a sailboat, a spaceship, a fire truck, a little windup car and a miniature train set!
It’s not Christmas without a tree
One of the compartments features a decorated Christmas tree that spins while the train moves forward. It adds an extra festive element to the train.
A lump of coal
Unlike the type of coal naughty children receive, this coal carriage holds the most important part of the train – the fuel. The carriage itself has an open roof and decorative details that match the passenger cabin.
Step on it, driver!
The front piece of the train is of course the locomotive. This is where the engineer sits while he’s driving; at other times he’s maintaining the train to make sure it runs smoothly. This component can be built with LEGO Power Functions for a remote-controlled ride.
Stop here for the Winter Village
At the other end of the tracks, Grandma is waiting at the included platform for her two excited grandkids to arrive. She sits on a bench under a lamppost – which is decorated with a Christmas wreath.
Get on board now!
If this set doesn’t get you excited for Christmas, I don’t know what will. It’s perfect for a challenging build, some family fun, and as a collector’s item. Jump on board now! We don’t think this LEGO train set will be in the station for long.
